Useful Chinese Phrases and Questions For Your Package Delivery
It’s common for people to order express delivery 快递 (kuàidì) in China as it’s fast and convenient. However, sometimes different circumstances may “prevent” you from receiving your kuaidi. For instance, you’re not able to pick up your parcel because you’re in a meeting. In this article, we would like to introduce seven Chinese phrases and questions to you as you may need them to have your kuaidi delivered.
Chinese Phrases For Your Package Delivery
Please wait a moment.
请等一下。
Qǐng děng yī xià.
Please wait a moment.
Many people often come across such a situation where they are in the middle of something when the kuaidi guy arrives. This is one of the Chinese phrases that can be used to ask the deliveryman to wait for you to pick up your parcel. The character “等” (děng) means “to wait”, and the structure “verb + 一下 yī xià” means “to do a bit of something”. Meanwhile, using Chinese phrases like this can also make you sound more polite.
Leave it at the door.
放在门口。
Fàng zài ménkǒu.
Leave it at the door.
This is one of the most useful Chinese phrases you need if you are not at home when the kuaidi guy arrives with your parcel. “放” (fàng) means “to put”, and “门口” (ménkǒu) means “entrance or gate”. Generally speaking, it’s safe to ask the kuaidi guy to leave your parcel at the door in China. Here are two more similar Chinese phrases that you can use when you ask the deliveryman to put down your parcel:

放在桌子上。
Fàng zài zhuōzi shàng。
