Good to Know: Subway is one of the most convenient ways to get around in Beijing. The system has been extended over recent years. Besides, it's very cheap! It costs 3 yuan to travel the shortest distance on one line, 9 yuan for the longest journey on one line, and 25 yuan for the Airport Express line.

Frequently Asked Questions

GET YOUR QUESTIONS ANSWERED

What is the course schedule?

According to the new visa rules, to obtain the Student Visa, you need to have a minimum of 15 hours of classes per week. The classes will be held in the morning, from Monday to Friday from 8:30 am to 12:00 pm with a 10-min break after each class (a total of 4 classes per day). That way you will have the whole afternoon and evening for yourself. Your Saturdays and Sundays will be free, so you can fully enjoy your stay in China.

Who are the teachers?

All our teachers are native Chinese speakers, university graduates with majors in Chinese language education or Chinese literature. Besides, they have also previously obtained a “teaching Mandarin as a second language” certificate before they joined us and successfully completed That’s Mandarin’s mandatory Teachers Training Course (TTC).

We have high requirements for our teachers, and only hire 5% of applicants.

What teaching materials do you use?

We've developed our own teaching and learning methods. We use our own in-house Chinese learning platform NihaoCafe for all classes. You will be able to find all your class materials, read the teacher’s comments, review your lessons, and schedule your classes.

Will the classes be taught in English?

All of our classes are taught in Chinese to give students a fully immersive Chinese experience. Even for absolute beginners, our teachers will only use limited English to help you understand them. Our teacher will use pictures, videos, signs, and gestures to help you learn.

As your Chinese level progresses, less and less English will be used in your classes and you will be able to understand more and more Chinese every day.

Do you provide accommodation?

Yes. We can help you to arrange your accommodation in China. The accommodation options are different for different campuses. Please contact us directly to get more information.

What type of visa can you provide?

We can provide you with an X2 Student China Visa or help you apply for a China Tourist Visa.

Will you send me all the documents?

Sure. You can either get the scanned documents sent to your e-mail or we can send you everything via DHL or any delivery service.
