How to Say "speechless" in Chinese

Get drunk = speechless?

When Chinese people get drunk, they either start talking nonsense or sit in the corner and keep silent. What’s interesting is that the Chinese word for “get drunk” is now used as a slang to indicate that someone is speechless, which is more or less related to “keep silent”.

How to say “speechless” in Chinese? 醉了 (zuì le) = speechless

(zuì) literally means drunk. But when you hear people say, 我也是醉了 (wǒ yě shì zuì le), they’re not trying to tell you they’re tipsy. They’re saying they’re speechless and won’t make further comment on something.
